While Lord Adod is the god of Tel-Kanan, trade may well be the realm’s religion. Before the Empire ruled the realm, Kananite traders were famous for their purple dye, harvested from giant carnivorous snails. To this day, traders from the Empire and Tel-Kanan, if not friendly with one another, at least find ways to operate with mutual respect. 

You start with the following ability:

Negotiate

Intellect  Take -1 awareness and roll Compel to propose a mutually beneficial resolution to a character or group of characters. The character(s) must share a language with you, and you must explain what the mutually beneficial resolution is.Success: Until your next turn, the character(s)’ regard for you temporarily shifts from hostile to wary, or from wary to friendly. You then make a free Persuade roll. Struggle: Until your next turn, the character(s)’ regard for you temporarily shifts from hostile to wary, or from wary to friendly.  Failure:  No effect.If you’re already in combat with the character(s), make this roll with a -2 penalty. If your proposed resolution isn’t real, you must succeed on a Deceive roll before using this ability. If you or your allies attack or betray any character after successfully negotiating with them, you automatically fail any future negotiation with them.
