You’ve trained with the so-called Hand of the Empress, Mazr’s special forces—or you’ve somehow managed to acquire and master their signature implements, a pair of black gauntlets. While anyone can put on a pair of gauntlets and exert force over a distance, you’ve gone further—studying the implement intensely and attuning to the angles of its magic crystals.

You start with the following ability:

✪ Defensive Gesture

✧ Agility Requires 2 free hands. You gain +2 max Guard while you wear the charged gauntlets. Additionally, as a reaction to an incoming melee or ranged projectile attack, you can take -1 awareness and roll the gauntlets' charge die, a d10. Subtract the result from the incoming attack. On a 1, the gauntlets lose charge, but the attack automatically misses.
